Gloucester, VA- Lilla Buckner Thomas Mathieu, age 87 of Gloucester, VA formerly of Savannah, GA, widow of Harold R. Thomas and Justin B. Mathieu, died Friday, May 4, 2007. She was a member of Midway Methodist Church and is survived by her daughter, Jan Thomas Boyd and her husband Claude of Hardyville, VA; two grandsons, Claude Boyd IV of Virginia Beach, VA and Martin Boyd of San Jose, CA and great-grandson, Martin Boyd, Jr. Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 8, 2007 in the Bonaventure Cemetery, Savannah, GA.
It has been my very great pleasure to know and love Lilla. I treasure the times I have spent with Lilla. I shall miss her but I know she is at peace and in God's hands.
